Summary:

Adult Male Circumcision is a self-paced, online education program developed by CCGHE in collaboration wth the Rakai Health Sciences Program and the Uganda PEPFAR Distance Learning Initiative. This 60-minute course was designed to provide an introduction to adult male circumcision and act as a prerequisite for hands-on, supervised training. Although the course provides an overview of the procedure, course completion does not certify competency to safely perform the surgical procedure. Topics covered include: pre-operative considerations, surgical preparations, the dorsal-slit procedure, post-operative care and management of complications. CCGHE initially distributed 100 CD ROMs to Uganda and has made the course available to CCGHE website users at no charge.
