Pune, India—To mark the struggle of those living with HIV and in commemoration of those who have lost their lives, the Clinical Research Site at Byramjee Jeejeebhoy Government Medical College (BJGMC CRS) participated in the National AIDS Trust’s World AIDS Day.

Each year on December 1, events are convened around the world to raise awareness about HIV and AIDS. BJGMC performed a street play on the importance of healthy choices among those living with HIV, such as adhering to antiretroviral treatment, being screened for tuberculosis, and maintaining good nutrition. The day’s events included an opening prayer, the play performance, and a reading of a poem written by a BJGMC staff nurse.

The event was attended by patients, BJGMC CRS staff, and physicians and nurses.
