Summary:

This effort ended in 2017.

The major challenge of early prenatal nurse home visitation programs is to accurately identify abused women. The DOVE study aims to improve maternal health and increase the use of a safety plan and community resources by using an emocha® application to assist home visitors in effectively and accurately identifying abused, pregnant women and delivering interventions aimed at reducing and preventing intimate partner violence. Patients are screened on a tablet and led through informational videos; dynamic questionnaires are designed to assess risk and provide referral for care.
