Evaluating Demand Generation (Stylish Man) for HIV/Family Planning Services, Rakai, Uganda

Dr. Larry Chang is co-investigator of this effort to test a novel approach to promoting HIV services in Rakai, Uganda. The Stylish Man Program, attempts to “demedicalize” HIV prevention and care in a public health campaign designed to normalize HIV care as part of self care for African men. The campaign employs non-traditional outreach methods, including concerts and plays, to communication HIV prevention as a value for the stylish man, who in Uganda, is a man who cares for himself and is a role model that men aspire to be.
