Matthew Riesner

Mr. Riesner is the IRB and Regulatory Specialist for CCGHE. He has worked in various research related roles during the past 14 years and has been with Johns Hopkins University for 13 years. Mr. Riesner has approximately 2 years working as a Regulatory Specialist at CCGHE, 5 years of combined experience working at both a commercial IRB and at the Johns Hopkins School of Medicine IRB, and 7 years of experience working in other research related roles, including research management and coordination. 

Mr. Riesner performs a variety of research regulatory functions for the JHU-India clinical research partnership, including the creation of IRB submissions (initial applications, annual Continuing Reviews of existing studies, amendments, and protocol deviations/events), and reviews of protocols, consent forms, and other research-related documents prior to EC/IRB submission to ensure compliance with US regulations and that US regulatory requirements are met for Johns Hopkins India Private Limited. This includes the development of SOPs, filing and maintaining of the research site’s FWA, and US regulatory review of studies. He also coordinates reliance agreements and performs other research regulatory related assignments as needed.
