Risk of Tuberculosis among Health Care Workers and Trainees in a Tertiary-care Hospital in Pune, India
This study was terminated April 24, 2018. It was funded by the Fogarty International Center at the U.S. National Institutes of Health.
A retrospective study of health care workers (HCWs) was conducted by investigators of the Byramjee Jeejeebhoy Medical and Sassoon General Hospitals (BJMC-SGH) in Pune, India. The purpose of the study was to estimate TB prevalence and incidence and investigate frequency and treatment failure, mortality and drug-resistant TB among HCWs. The BJMC-SGH study team collected data from the records of HCWs and medical trainees who worked at the BJMC-SGH between June 2011 and December 2013. Hopkins investigators are collaborating on data analysis and manuscript preparation.
