Uganda Medicine Grand Rounds

CCGHE partnered with the Medical Education Partnership for All Ugandans (MESAU), a consortium of five Ugandan Universities, to launch Uganda Medicine Grand Rounds in August, 2011 from Makerere University. Funded by Medical Education Partnership Initiative (MEPI), this conference is a distance education initiative where clinical cases and a range of medical education topics are presented and discussed via videoconference among providers and trainees from five medical schools within the MESAU consortium, namely Makerere University, Mbarara University, Gulu University, Kampala International University, and Busitemia University. A range of topics, including medical ethics and professionalism, infectious diseases, chronic diseases, cancer and primary care, have been covered providing needed support for medical education in Uganda. CCGHE provides a global audience with open access to all live and archived webcasts of Uganda Medicine Grand Rounds via the CCGHE website.
