Partnerships in India

CCGHE works with Indian medical institutions to conduct groundbreaking clinical research that informs prevention and treatment for many of India’s gravest health issues. These partnerships are also a formal channel for educating and involving emerging professionals in clinical research. We offer clinical coursework, professional mentoring, field study placements, and clinical rotation opportunities for Indian and US-based students. The experiences are often life changing, and in many instances lead to careers in global health. We operate the BWI-CTU , a large NIH-funded clinical trials...

Technology

We leverage technology and develop innovative tech solutions that improve patient care, deliver resources to health providers, and provide education where it's most needed.

Scholars

CCGHE builds capacity for and promotes leadership in global health research, education, and technology here in the US and globally. We administer formal professional development, provide traditional academic mentoring, and offer internship exchanges to intergenerational global health professionals throughout the spectrum of their careers. By immersing scholars in our clinical research, education programs, and technology efforts, we help prepare them to one day lead their own transformative initiatives. For nearly 3 decades, CCGHE Director Dr. Bob Bollinger (3rd from left) has trained hundreds...

Field Study In India

WELCOME! The Center for Clinical Global Health Education (CCGHE) offers field research opportunities for students and junior researchers interested in infectious diseases in India. We typically work with graduate students and medical residents with skills in clinical research, epidemiology, and/or biostatistics. If accepted through our application process, students are paired with U.S. and India-based mentors to guide them through their experience. We look for students with some experience living/working abroad and who are available to travel to India for at least a 6-8 week period. We...

Our Work

We share findings from our clinical research, education programs, and technology development initiatives to improve patient health and infectious disease treatment science and practice in low and middle income countries. Our experts participate in high level multilateral discussions on infectious disease research, present abstracts at major international conferences throughout the year, publish in peer reviewed literature, design and evaluate clinical education resources, and even offer synopses of major breakthroughs for clinicians on the go.
